THE CHALLENGE This program started with the help of the already successful OPERAZIONE LIETA in Brescia, Italy. We work together helping children that have difficulty speaking and expressing themselves. This handicap often creates neglected and isolated children. WHERE WE WORK Casa da Criança, Gov. Virgilio Tavora, Fortaleza. THE PROGRAM Etica employs a Phonoaudiologist who helps from 40-50 children a year. Through tests, exercises and educational games of different types, the children are stimulated to rebuild phonetic, audio and facial expressive mechanisms. All the cures vary from a light stutter to severe communication defects and also include physical deformities (mouth, pallet and jaw). 40% of all children treated each year are totally cured. GALLERY
