THE CHALLENGE Sem Terra is a popular Farm Workers movement that was founded in the early 1980's during the Brazilian transition from a dictatorship to a democracy. The cause of the struggle behind the movement was the agricultural reform. Brazil is a country where mass poverty and large private estates exist side by side. WHERE WE WORK In Fortaleza and in the rural regions of Cearà THE PROGRAM We are able to help over 25,000 people. ETICA working from both sides: SUPPORTING THE MOVEMENT'S COMMUNITIES We help with the local reforms regarding various materials (fiberglass water tanks, cookware, hammocks, clothes, etc.) for local living camps serving workers and their families. Some camps can hold hundreds of families.
